Heather Moore is a designer and illustrator who lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.

In 2008, she founded design brand Skinny laMinx, and her clean lines, playful patterns, and signature colour palette developed a global following, recognised for its fresh, optimistic approach to everyday design.

Inspired by the small details of daily life, Heather’s creative process starts simply - with paper, a sharp knife, and a good dose of curiosity. She’s always been fascinated by pattern and how it can turn an ordinary moment into something quietly delightful.

Alongside running her creative studio, Heather enjoys sharing her approach to design, pattern and everyday delight through workshops and writing, encouraging others to stay playful, make by hand, and finding joy in the process.

And when she’s not in the studio? You’ll find Heather walking around the city taking photos, rearranging favourite objects at home, or just noticing patterns hiding in plain sight all around.
