Asta is a British surface pattern designer and artist based in Bath, South West England. She creates detailed artwork for a variety of products, including art prints and seamless repeat patterns. Known for her confident, colourful decorative design style, Asta’s work is often complex, layered, and ever-evolving. Her designs are influenced by her Scandinavian heritage, the sea, vintage printed ephemera, typography, antique textiles, flea markets, and her love of risograph printing.

Asta studied Textile Design at Nottingham Trent University and the Royal College of Art in London before moving to Bath in 2005. Her focus gradually shifted from designer-maker to digital surface pattern design, and she has built a successful career creating bold, vibrant designs. Outside of her design practice, Asta continues to explore new creative possibilities through her love of print and texture.
