Originally from Mexico, Ana Bianchi is an artist, designer, illustrator, and twice-published children’s book author. Her books include The Sailor who Loved to Draw and The Swimmers: Paper Cut-Outs with Matisse.

With degrees in graphic design and fine arts, Ana has worked across multiple creative disciplines for over 35 years, from printmaking and ceramics to surface design, children’s books, branding, and packaging for clients large and small.

Her art brand, AnaLovesColor, reflects her lifelong passion for color, which connects all her projects. Ana’s upcoming book Color Curious (Chronicle Books, Fall 2025) showcases her photography, illustrations, patterns, ceramics, and more, while exploring her curiosity for art history, world cultures, and creative ideas.

When not in her Bay Area studio, Ana loves to cook, bake, tend to her garden, and spend time with her family and dogs.
